Winners of the 2024 Global Photo Peace Awards
Previously called the Alfred Fried Photography Award, this esteemed prize honors and highlights photographs that convey peace in its most expansive definition. Collaborating with globally respected organizations such as the World Press Photo Foundation, UNESCO, and the International Press Institute (IPI), the competition is open to photographers of all levels, from amateurs to professionals.
The winner of the Global Peace Photo Award – Peace Image of the Year, worth € 6000, is Elisa L. Iannacone, Great Britain / Mexico, with an image from her work “Dreams of Childhood”
The Global Peace Photo Award’s esteemed panel of judges includes Peter-Matthias Gaede, the renowned editor of GEO Magazine; Lars Boering, the Managing Director of World Press Photo; Lois Lammerhuber, a publisher, photographer, and founder of the GPPA, among others. Gerd Ludwig has been serving on the Award Jury since its inception in 2013.

The winner of the Global Peace Photo Award 2024 in the Single Images Category received the Alfred Fried Peace Medal and € 1000:

The winner of the The Children’s Peace Image of the Year 2024 received the Alfred Fried Peace Medal and € 1000:
“Happiness” Daria Heß, Germany
The Global Peace Photo Award 2024 was presented on 23 September 2024, in the Austrian Parliament in Vienna.
