Chernobyl Exhibit extended in Bologna
Due to surprising popularity and high numbers of visitors, the exhibit “Chernobyl: la lunga ombra” (The Long Shadow of Chernobyl) at Ono Arte Contemporanea has been extended through the middle of March.
Visitors now have nearly three more weeks to view 14 images from the aftermath of the world’s worst nuclear disaster to date.
The exhibit opened January 23 as part of Bologna’s Arte Fiera—one of Italy’s largest art festivals. Gerd’s images from his multiple visits to Chernobyl have drawn amazing amounts of publicity from media (such as in this article from GQ Italia) and spectators alike.
