National Geographic Runs Sleeping Cars as Photo Journal

Gerd Ludwig calls himself a "night owl, who doesn't need much sleep." For a couple of years now, in a departure from his usual, more challenging documentary work, he spent his nights in Los Angeles photographing what he calls Sleeping Cars. He describes them as "cars that show a presence. They must command their own space and cannot be crowded in with others." While this is still a work-in-progress, National Geographic Magazine in their November issue run several images from Gerd's Sleeping Cars series as a photo journal.
