An exhibition of 30 of Gerd Ludwig’s photographs "Chernobyl: Living with Disaster" is being shown at the Festival Internazionale della Fotografia Digitale in Lucca, Italy. This solo show combines images taken while on assignment for National Geographic Magazine in the early 90s and in 2005, when Gerd returned nearly 20 years after the nuclear disaster to Belarus and the Ukraine to document the status of contamination and the progress of the clean up. The exhibit runs from November 18 to December 10, 2006.
