TURNING HEADS

This spring, with openings in Washington, New York, and Los Angeles, director, screenwriter, and cancer survivor, Jackson Hunsicker, will release Turning Heads , a book of inspiring portraits of female cancer survivors. Shot by renowned American photographers, the book takes the image of bald-headed women struggling with cancer, and turns it upside down by revealing their inner strength and beauty despite the visible effects of their medical treatment. Beneficiaries of the book's proceeds include the American Association for Cancer Research. Gerd Ludwig is one of the many photographers who donated their time and skills to this moving book.
